Transition2Work is gaining even more momentum nationwide as employers and insurance carriers are experiencing the benefits of temporary transitional duty through nonprofit volunteer assignments. ReEmployAbilitys Frances Ford is quoted in Risk & Insurance’s online article: Managing the Transition, noting the benefits of the program and citing a recent Transition2Work success. From the employer’s side, Pitney Bowes Director of Employee Health Absence, Hilary Mitchell declares, “We absolutely believe being productive leads to a successful recovery and transition back to work.”

Insurance Broker, Carl Cincotta, of Integro Insurance Brokers in New York, also supports temporary transitional volunteer assignments as a way to cut employer and carrier workers’ compensation costs — stating, “Employers are now more involved, in part, because it’s their loss dollars versus the carrier’s — and that’s a good thing.”
